Colleen Martin (she/her) brings several years of experience working with various systems, which has deepened her understanding of human experiences. She is committed to fostering resilience and promoting personal growth through compassionate, strengths-based support. Colleen focuses on working with individuals navigating grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression, particularly from late adolescence through older adulthood. Her systems-oriented approach allows clients to explore how relational patterns, family expectations, or social stressors contribute to their current concerns and symptoms. By examining these connections, Colleen helps clients identify areas where change is possible, whether through improving communication, setting boundaries, or shifting roles within their systems.
Colleen utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solutions-focused, and person-centered approaches. She believes that the core of effective therapy lies in active listening, open-mindedness, and fostering supportive, collaborative relationships. Her ultimate goal is to contribute positively to clients' journeys in a meaningful and authentic way. She practices under the supervision of Holli Engelhart, MSW, LICSW.
